Translator

Experienced translators wanted (ALL LANGUAGES!)

Skills

  • Native speaker with fluency in English
  • Translation experience necessary!
  • Knowledge of Japanese street fashion or willing to learn

Project Manager

You’ll help to manage The COMM’s various projects and oversee schedules of the members of The COMM team.

Skills

  • Must be organised
  • Admin experience (creating schedules, overseeing project timelines etc)
  • Punctual
  • Keen note taker

Website Manager

Responsible for website updates and maintenance. Responsible for uploading posts to the site.

Skills

  • Experienced with WordPress
  • Able to meet deadlines

Social Media Manager

Searching for a reliable and creative social manager to oversee The COMM’s social media. Must be able to make effective use of the various images for the site for social media audience. 

 

Skills

  • Native/Fluent English speaker
  • Thorough knowledge of social media and different uses for each medium
  • Knowledge of Japanese street fashion
  • Experience of using social media as a promotion tool

Writer

In-house writers are asked to produce at least four assigned articles per issue, with the possibility to develop their own additional column eventually. All articles must be submitted in English.

  • Advanced in writing and researching
  • Able to write articles assigned from editor
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Able to come up with own ideas

Content Editor

Content Editors are required to complete an article critique (also known as AC) when reviewing an article. An AC is a general assessment of the article to provide a bird’s-eye view of the entire work.

  • Native/fluent English speaker
  • Review narrative voice
  • Review article structure
  • Provide feedback on overall theme
  • Provide feedback on overall consistency
  • Flag overall weaknesses within article
  • Adaptable
  • Proactive
