Wearing Maia is a futuristic fashion brand based in Tokyo. In 2013, founder and designer Maia Lillford began designing apparel to “celebrate inner awkwardness”—browsing her collection, we see geometric skirts, bell-bottom trousers, and Jetsons-inspired couple outfits. Wearing Maia’s aesthetic is like an Andy Warhol collaboration with aliens who see the world in pastels! This brand is unique not just because of its quirky designs—every garment is made from limited edition fabrics, making every piece a one of a kind. In this shoot, we snapped some looks styled by the designer herself in the gorgeous Nagatacho apartment by artist and designer Adam Nathaniel Furman. Check out our gallery above to experience this magical art moment where two beautiful works come together in fantastical (pink!) harmony!
