Uniqlo UT Launches Collab with Contemporary Artist Jeff Koons
Uniqlo UT is collaborating yet again with a legendary contemporary artist. Canine crazy Jeff Koons, famous for his Balloon Dog sculpture, will be dropping a line of casuals printed with his sophisticated, pop sculptures.
What’s the difference between Uniqlo and Uniqlo UT, you ask? Well, UT is an acronym for “Uniqlo T-shirt”. The capsule collection typically celebrates world-renowned designers, artists and even manga by creating graphic T-shirt collections. Debuting in 2014, Uniqlo UT has collaborated with JW Anderson, Keith Haring, Undercover, Christophe Lemaire, Kaws and more.

Koons’ most expensive piece of art, the stainless-steel Rabbit sculpture, as well as Balloon Dog (orange), Seated Ballerina, Play-Doh and Gazing Ball will be featured as T-shirt and hoodie prints for the brand’s AW21 collection. “I enjoy very much how Uniqlo is in contact with my generation but also a younger generation,” the American artist says about the collaboration. “Everybody enjoys, very much, their clothing and I love that sense of unity. I hope that this collaboration will help people around the world to connect with each other and that art will enrich their daily lives.”
The collection will be available to purchase online and in-store from 27 September! Will you be rushing to buy the Uniqlo UT x Jeff Koons collection?
