Tokyo Monorail’s Kawaii Collab with Sanrio’s Little Twin Stars

Welcome aboard the Little Twin Stars monorail! Next stop, Haneda Airport. It’s not the most magical destination but it’ll do.

From 14 September, Tokyo Monorail’s first and sixth car will be transformed into a Kiki and Lala-inspired wonderland. From ceiling to floor, windows to doors, Tokyo Monorail’s cars will be decked out in the twins’ signature pastel colours and cute animal characters. Sadly, the rest of the cars will only have Little Twin Stars-inspired windows, so make sure to board the right car if you want to get the full experience.

If that isn’t instagrammable enough, there will also be dedicated photo spots for taking pictures with the twins at Hamamatsucho, Tennozu Isle, and Haneda Airport’s Terminal 1 and 2. But the experience doesn’t stop there, you can also make a wish upon a little twin star! Just help yourself to a piece of Little Twin Stars paper at any of the train stations along the line. Of course, you’ll want some memento of your trip with the twins, so don’t forget to stop by a souvenir shop. Original Kiki and Lala monorail goods like files and key chains will be up for sale at various stations along the line.

Tokyo is known for its awesome seasonal light shows and Tokyo Monorail is not one to disappoint. They will also be running a special winter illumination later on this year so make sure to check it out if you are in town!

First the Hello Kitty bullet train, now the Little Twin Stars monorail! Which Sanrio character would you like to take a trip with next?
