Tokyo Fashion Week: Bodysong

This season’s Fashion Week, sponsored by Rakuten and held in Shibuya Hikarie and Omotesando Hills, played host to some of the best up-and-coming designers on the Japanese fashion scene. Join Choom in the front row as she reports on the runway highlights of the week!

My week started with the latest collection from streetwear brand Bodysong. The show opened with a live performance by ZUTOMAYO, setting the mood for an updated take on street style. The clothing packed a 90s punch, with stand-out pieces including bucket hats with chains, vinyl hooded gilets, and logo-covered denim. The models stomped down the runway matching the in-your-face vibe of the collection. This brand ignores the conventional rules of structure and gender with key motifs such as oversized shoulders, layering, and graphic prints.
