Shu Uemura x One Piece

October is quickly approaching so you know what that means—Christmas! (Be honest, you thought I was going to say Halloween, didn’t you?) In Japan, Christmas is all about spectacular light shows, Kentucky Fried Chicken (no lie), and limited edition collections.

Shu Uemura, the major Japanese beauty brand, will be releasing a limited edition collection with anime icon One Piece. The collection will be split into two drops, each with their own unique items. Mark your calendars because the first drop will be released on 1 November (pre-orders begin 15 October), while the second drop will be released on 15 November (pre-orders begin 9 November). The range includes eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks, cleansing oils, highlighters, and more. The collection was inspired by the Blue Sea and the titular treasure that drives the narrative of the adventures we so much enjoy on One Piece. Even the packaging matches the marine aesthetic!

 

 

Each item draws on the different characters of the show in some way: the Grand Line and Thousand Sunny eyeshadow palettes; Luffy and Chopper lipsticks; Nami and Nico Robin highlighters etc. The make-up ranges from warm reds for the lipsticks, to deep blues, glittery golds and a jewel-speckled delight for the eyeshadows. Perfect for any aspiring fashion-conscious seafarer. Need somewhere to store all this new make-up? No problem!
