Satellite Young

The neon lights of 80s Tokyo! The pinnacle of a newfound cyber era in Japan. It was an era and place where tech and cyber imagery reached their most iconic heights. We shot city pop band Satellite Young under the lights of Kabukicho and had a seapunk adventure in a karaoke booth. Their sound perfectly encapsulates the mood and trends of 80s Japan—with hits like Moment in Slow Motion, Modern Romance, and most recently, their J-pop cover of a-ha’s Take On Me. They certainly brought the jams of the 80s to our impromptu karaoke session! Check out members Emi Kusano, Bellemaison Sekine, and Tele Hideo in the shoot above, and visit the band’s website, Bandcamp, and Facebook for more!
