Hi, my name is…
Jess aka Foxxtailz
What does kawaii fashion mean to you?
Kawaii fashion to me is just another way to express yourself and be creative. It’s an extension of me and my personality. Wearing as much colour as possible makes me happy and lifts my mood. I remember seeing Harajuku girls for the first time when I was around 15 and I just instantly became obsessed with how they looked and wanted to be just like that! I love Japanese fashion, there’s nothing else like it in the world to me.
The J-fashion community is also super uplifting and friendly. It’s just really nice to be a part of it. I’ve always incorporated J-fashion/Kawaii fashion into my wardrobe but the last 2 years I have really dedicated every part of my style to it. Nothing makes me happier.
Tell us about your blog!
I first started my blog in 2015, it’s my online diary and where I like to document looks I’ve put together. It has actually won two awards which I was thrilled about. I mainly focus on sharing fashion and try to encourage others to start embracing their personal style. Fashion is so fun, it’s more than just chucking on any old thing, it’s what makes you look and feel good, it gives you the confidence to be yourself. I also dabble in sharing my favourite cruelty-free makeup and beauty products.
Any last words?
Don’t be scared to embrace your personal style, fashion is a journey—wear what you want and have fun with it 🙂
