Get an Official Sumikko Gurashi Hanko!

If you’ve ever had to get an apartment, bank account or new job, in Japan it’s likely you’re familiar with the way Japanese processes work. Paper, paper and more paper! A lot of us are left wondering why these formal processes couldn’t be done online, and have to struggle with fitting our middle names on official documents. And with each document you may or may not require a hanko, a personal carved seal which is used as a signature. Now with the creation of the Sumikko Gurashi hanko, those boring government documents could become a little bit cuter!

Sumikko Gurashi goods are usually geared towards teens and kids, but kawaii is for all ages. These hanko are an easy way to spice up our everyday lives with a dash of cuteness. There are 29 different designs to choose from. They include popular characters like Shirokuma, Penguin?, Tonkatsu, Neko, and Tokage, along with other Minikko characters. On the hanko you can add your first and last name (if it’s not too long!), nickname, or messages like “OK” and “Thank you!”. There are also 3 different fonts to choose from. You can also choose the type of hanko between self inking, or wood carved.

You will be able to find these customisable hanko online on Hankoz. So why not give it a try! And even if you don’t use the seal for official documents, you can spice up your stationery with a Sumikko Gurashi character.

Which character will you choose?

I am looking for the whale San-x jinbesan plush coin purse. It is very small in size with a keychain on. If you could please send me the link to purchase it. If you email me I’ll send you the picture of the item I’m looking for and show you the website.
