Banana Fish Pop Up in Tokyo
Wildly popular manga and anime Banana Fish has opened a pop-up cafe in Omotesando Hills! The collaboration cafe brings Banana Fish’s New York flair to Tokyo. Immerse yourself in Ash and Eiji’s world from the comfort of a lounge chair.
On the menu for this pop-up cafe are simple but stylish dishes. Enjoy a 3 course meal carefully curated to suit both a New Yorker and Tokyoite’s palette.
The wonderfully titled “His Main Dish for the Night”’ dish is inspired by the dinner that appeared in episode 9 “Waltz With Me”. It is a roast beef with red wine flavoured sauce, mashed potato and sliced baguette. The tofu and salmon bowl is a Japanese twist on a salad bowl that is popular in New York. For dessert, you have the choice of a grilled banana waffle, chocolate fondue, Chinese sweets plate, and New York style cheesecake with caramel nuts.
With every collaboration comes original merchandise to have your wallet at the ready! All of your favourite characters have their own items for you to collect. Following the theme of a New York bar, the pins, stickers, and keychains all have the colour palette of the neon signage you’d expect. Other items include acrylic stands, coasters and glasses featuring the main three characters.
The pop-up will be open until January 16th in BOX cafe&space in Omotesando Hills. Will you be hitting it up this winter?
